SOEALLC publishes entries in two ways: 1) in print volumes published by Amsterdam University Press; and 2) online in the Humanities Commons Core Repository, under open access licenses. After an initial embargo period, entries included in print volumes will also appear in the Humanities Commons Core Repository. We will also maintain many of the files of the project in our Github repository.
In general, the entries published in print volumes are for major authors (e.g. Bede, Benedict of Nursia, Alcuin, Augustine, etc.), major works (e.g. the Bible), and collected related entries for major genres (e.g. Apocrypha, Laws, etc.), while the entries published online are shorter and require less discussion of more limited evidence about authors and works (e.g. Junillus Africanus, Clement of Alexandria, etc.).
